Cill Dara Housing Association Delivers Investment in Tenants Homes as it Completes Energy Retrofits at Fennor Lawns, Kildare Town.

Work has recently completed on 12 properties in Fennor Lawns, Kildare Town. Fennor Lawns was the first development built by Cill Dara Housing Association in 1994.

This project – made possible in part through grant funding from the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) – was completed by Retrofit Energy Ireland much to our tenant’s satisfaction who were pleased to have the opportunity to choose the style and colour of the new front doors, bringing a burst of colour to the estate.

The properties – previously a mix of solid fuel and oil boilers with BER ranging from F to C – received high efficiency air to water heat pumps, triple glazing and new front and rear doors and moved the Building Energy Rating (BER) from an average of E1 to B2 achieving a high level of energy efficiency and warmth for tenants.
