Who We Are and What We Do

Cill Dara Housing Association (CDHA)

CDHA was established in 1993. It is an independent voluntary housing association with approved status from the Department of Housing, Planning and Local Government. It is recognised by the Revenue Commissioners as having charitable status, and it is affiliated to The Irish Council for Social Housing.

CDHA’s vision is, “to provide quality homes for people in housing need”. Our mission reflects this vision, whilst also aspiring to support all tenants to create safe and sustainable communities.

Our work is made possible by funding provided by the Department of Housing, Planning and Local Government, which is administered by local authorities. We work in partnership with local authorities to meet social and affordable housing needs in the locality.

Cill Dara Housing Association (CDHA) is a legally incorporated company limited by guarantee (registered in Ireland, no. 199040) and is regulated by the Housing Regulator, the Charities Regulator, and the Companies Registration Office and is required to have a Board of Directors.

The Board is a joint decision-making body and as such all decisions are based on the principle of one member one vote with all votes being equal.
