Housing Officer
Full time – 36.5 hours per week
€31,000 -€35,000 per annum

We now have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and suitably experienced housing professional to join our housing services team and work closely with our tenants and communities to achieve positive outcomes. We are looking for someone who is committed to providing exceptional services to tenants and making a significant contribution to the achievement of our strategic goals and vision.
As a Housing Officer you’ll be responsible for managing a patch of properties under the direction of the Senior Housing Officer. You will deal with all aspects of housing, tenancy management and customer services for our tenants in a responsive, efficient, and professional manner. Your small patch size of around 200 homes will allow you to really get to know your tenants and communities and work to develop tailored solutions that respond to tenants needs.
Qualifications:
Suitable candidates will have a relevant qualification in Housing Studies, Property Management, or related discipline or hold at least 2 years’ experience from a similar role.
Own vehicle with class 2 insurance and full clean driving license is required – a mileage allowance applies.
Good understanding of MS Office.
You will:
Manage of patch of around 200 properties, dealing with all aspects of housing and tenancy management including allocations, lettings, rent collection, rent arrears recovery, and tenant disputes.
Be solutions focused, working with tenants, communities and partners to achieve positive outcomes.
Manage incidents of anti-social behaviour, breach of tenancies and other complaints.
Liaise with tenants and community groups to encourage participation and involvement.
Be responsible for tenant communication tools such as our website and newsletters.
Requirements:
At least 2 years’ experience in a housing management environment.
Experience of core generic housing management tasks including arrears management.
Experience of working with the public in a customer-oriented environment.
Experience of community development work.
Knowledge of GDPR, RTB Legislation and Housing Regulation.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Good organisational and time-management skills.
To participate on forums/working groups/committees as required.
Participate in an on-call rota covering out of hours emergencies.
Promote a culture which delivers excellent services to our tenants and promotes our core values.
